To indicate in the diagram that a class is derived from another class, you use a generalization. In the “Class” list in the toolbox, click on “Generalization”.

First click on the frame of the derived class (in the example “Leraar”), drag the mouse pointer to the frame of the abstract class (in the example “Persoon”) and then release the mouse button.
